ARTS AFIELD "en plein air" program allows small groups of visual artists access to varied locations on Cherokee Ranch property on certain Wednesdays, for several months each year to paint, sketch, draw, or take photos at the group site. See individual dates and locations below. Pre-register and meet in the parking lot for each selected Arts Afield date. Carry in and carry out your supplies to enjoy the day from 8:30am – 1pm (8am in summer) with select evenings. Artists may use garage restroom (near the Castle). Arts Afield days offer inspiring time for capturing the vistas, land, wildlife, and structures. Each date requires a $37 access fee and a signed Land Liability Waiver form.For frequent participants a money-saving Arts Afield Package offers all program dates in the year, a guest pass to a sunset session, and an option to participate in the group exhibit/sale in Cherokee Castle, all for $192.50 fee. For 18 years or older. Please bring sunscreen, water, snacks and wear closed-toe shoes. No smoking!
