Join Rye Rec for an Outdoor Movie Under the Stars! The evening will kick off with a magic show at 6:00 PM, followed by a feature film at 7:00 PM (movie TBD).

This screening puts into practice a radical Godardian proposition: a 35mm projection of both Made in USA and Two or Three Things I Know About Her as a single work, their reels and narratives intertwined. Presented here for the first time in the US.

The gentle, restrained, and terribly humane Yi Yi observes the interplay between three generations of an upper middle-class Taipei family. A work of epic length that avoids even a hint of bombast, dedicated instead to working its way into the hidden, niche spaces of everyday people’s emotional lives, it’s a film as rich and as sad as life itself.
