The Darkness Behind is a solo multimedia performance that explores Ameen Mokdad's musical journey during the ISIS occupation of his hometown in Mosul, Iraq, and the musical chapters post that period. Using violin, voice, live looping, and electronic textures, the performance combines cinematic music, experimental sound, and personal storytelling.
